Team evolution - the stages a team goes through from they are formed until they are high performing |
Their purpose as a team and team values |
The process is awareness versus content focused. Each team member is assumed naturally creative and resourceful and the team is assumed to be capable of finding the answers and carrying out the actions necessary to face challenges and move forward.
The coach treats the team as one unit made up of a number of independent connected parts.
The coach holds the expectation of change and a magnificent vision of possibility, no matter what is going on in the moment.
The coach’s job is not do the work, but rather to hold team members accountable fro implementing their own plans and attaining their goals.
In partnership with the team, the coach creates experiences which build trust and awareness over time. Some preparation is done in advance However, similar to one-on-one coaching, tools and structures are modified in the moment depending on the coach’s assessment of what is needed to support the action and deepen the learning.
